postal.ID applies data minimization principles and provides tenant-configurable retention for verification data.

Key Principles

  • Minimization — we retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Tenant control — verification subject data and evidence pack retention periods are configurable per tenant.
  • Legal compliance — billing, tax, and regulatory records are retained as required by applicable law.
  • Secure deletion — data is securely deleted on schedule and upon contract termination, subject to any legal hold requirements.
